Johnny Lyons

Johnny Lyons will have a homeroom this year and teach Arizona History and Geography, Sociology / Psychology, Precalculus, and primary hiking. He will  also be taking many hikes and field trips that will be open to all students.

Johnny comes to Kino with an Elementary Education degree and teaching certificate from Prescott College’s Tucson Center. Previously, he has also studied Recreation Management at the University of Montana and Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Johnny has received certificates for ski instruction, avalanche safety, mountaineering and guiding. He has volunteered on trail crews, adopted trails and wilderness shelters, and voluntarily guided hiking, backpacking, and mountaineering trips.  Johnny has a son who attends Kino.
